If you’re looking for that dreamy balance of relaxation and activity, Sandals South Coast checks every box. Nestled on 500 acres of nature preserve along Jamaica’s quiet southern coast, this adults-only all-inclusive is so worth the drive.

Expect powdery white-sand beaches, stunning overwater bungalows, and more included activities than you could possibly do in one trip (trust us, we’ve tried).

If your budget allows, split your stay and upgrade to a Rondoval Suite in the Dutch Village for a few nights — you won’t regret it.

Also, if you're planning a destination wedding, the overwater chapel is unforgettable.

⚠️ Heads up: This resort is about a 1 hour 45 minute drive from Montego Bay airport, so we recommend booking 5+ nights to make the most of your stay.

Who It’s Perfect For: Couples who want jaw-dropping views, nonstop things to do, and access to everything

Set on a scenic peninsula between Rodney Bay and the Atlantic, Sandals Grande St. Lucian delivers big on wow-factor. You’ll get postcard-perfect views on both sides — calm turquoise water on one, dramatic waves on the other, and volcanic peaks in the distance.

It’s one of the most iconic Sandals locations, and once you arrive, you’ll see why.

Let’s start with the bungalows: if you’re going big, this is the place to do it. Glass floors, direct water access, total privacy — and yes, waking up here feels surreal.

Not in a bungalow? No problem. Every corner of the resort is stunning:

Who It’s Perfect For: Foodies, design-lovers, and couples who want a more curated, cultural Sandals experience

I didn’t think anything would top my love for Sandals Grenada... until I visited Sandals Royal Curaçao. The moment I arrived, I could tell how thoughtfully designed this property was — from the upgraded rooms to the hidden hammock nooks, everything just works. The grounds are stunning, the beach is peaceful (no fighting over chairs!), and the sunset views from the infinity pool? Unreal.

 

Rooms That Feel Like a Dream

There are 25 room categories to choose from, so there’s truly something for everyone — but I highly recommend booking an oceanfront suite. The views are incredible, and you’ll get king beds, walk-in showers, stocked fridges, luxury touches, and (my favorite) a balcony made for coffee or cocktails.

 

Thoughtful, Unexpected Perks

What makes this resort stand out? The complimentary Mini Cooper included with some suites — perfect for day trips into Willemstad. And on property, you’ll find Dutch-style bikes you can grab and ride anytime to explore the lush surroundings.

Other unexpected wins:

  • Hammock nooks scattered around the grounds

  • A livelier-than-expected nightlife scene

  • A rental car facility on site for even more adventure ease

 

Pickleball in Paradise

These are some of the nicest courts we’ve seen at a Sandals — and they’re rarely crowded. Whether you’re a beginner or a self-proclaimed pro, bring your paddle and play a few rounds in the sunshine before hitting the pool.

 

the Food Scene is legit

This resort nailed the food. Here’s what stood out to me:

  • The food truck courtyard is casual, creative, and so well done (plus there's a nearby bar and live music!)

  • Kanaal café = my daily go-to for coffee, wine, desserts, and local snacks like poffertjes (DO ask for caramel sauce)

  • Waffle on a stick = unexpectedly life-changing

  • The variety is top-notch: steakhouse, tapas, sushi, Dutch-inspired bites, Mediterranean, and more

I genuinely looked forward to every meal — and that’s saying something.

 

Relax or Play — Your Choice

From scuba diving to Red Lane Spa massages, you can do as much (or as little) as you want:

  • Water sports: scuba, paddleboarding, kayaking, Hobie cats

  • Land sports: pickleball, beach volleyball, shuffleboard, and more

  • Private cabanas are just $150/day and worth every penny — dedicated service, food + drinks delivered, and total relaxation

  • Feels like a fresh, stylish take on the Sandals experience

  • Foodie heaven — food trucks, wine + cheese café, waffles on a stick(!)

  • Complimentary Mini Cooper (with certain room categories) + bikes for local exploring

  • Pool, beach, spa, and nightly vibes — you won’t get bored

 
 

SANDALS St. Vincent

Who It’s Perfect For: Couples or friend groups who want next-level Sandals luxury in a hidden gem of a destination

Tucked away in lush greenery and fronting turquoise Caribbean water, Sandals St. Vincent is one of the newest additions to the Sandals collection — and it already feels like a standout.

I spent five nights here during the Sandals Star Awards and can confidently say: this resort nails the balance between laid-back luxury and lively energy. It’s beautifully walkable, full of quiet pockets to relax, and has a party-ready main pool with a swim-up bar and afternoon DJ.

 

the rooms & suites are amazing

With 301 rooms and suites, this resort includes some of Sandals’ most unique accommodations:

  • Two-story overwater villas with glass floors and upper-level sunset decks

  • Two-bedroom beachfront butler villas

  • Suites with separate fitness or media rooms

  • Thoughtful touches like US outlets by the bed (but bring an extension cord — none in the bathrooms by law!)

The entire resort layout just works — and complimentary bikes make exploring even easier.

 

Free Cabanas + Pool Perfection

Poolside cabanas are first-come, first-served and totally free — which we love.
You’ll find:

  • A lively pool with a DJ and swim-up bar

  • A quiet pool for zen vibes

  • Tons of hidden spots around the property to lounge with a cocktail and a view

 

What to Eat (and Re-eat)

Out of 11 restaurants, a few made a lasting impression:

  • Butch’s Island Chop House — a must for steak, seafood, and unreal desserts

  • Gatsu Gatsu — sushi and ramen perfection

  • Isola — the gluten-free pizza here made me a believer

  • Three Jewels Rum Bar — great post-dinner hangout

  • 9 total bars so no single spot ever feels crowded

Reservations are only needed at Butch’s and Buccan — and they’re easy to get.

 

What to Do (Besides Float in the Pool)

  • Scuba diving (certified divers get 2 free dives a day!)

  • Glass bottom boats, Hobie Cats, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, waterskiing, and more

  • Snuba available for an extra fee

  • Land activities: beach volleyball, cricket, croquet, table tennis, complimentary bikes, and more

And if you're into nightlife — or theme parties — you’re in for a treat.

Weekly Theme Nights Include:

  • Sunday: Big Drum Celebrations

  • Monday: Vincy Sun

  • Tuesday: Movie Under the Stars

  • Wednesday: Island Vibes Plaza Party

  • Thursday: Carnival Celebration

  • Friday: Light Night + Candlelight Concert

  • Saturday: Rhythm Lounge

I also loved the excursions here — like touring the historical West Coast or cooling off at Dark View Falls, plus seeing where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed at Wallilabou Bay.
