This is the crown jewel of Sandals St. Lucia, and honestly, one of the most impressive resorts in the entire Caribbean.
What Makes Grande Stand Out
The overwater bungalows here are next level. We are talking glass floor panels where you can literally watch fish swimming below your feet, private hammocks suspended over the water, outdoor soaking tubs, and direct ocean access from your own stairs. Every bungalow comes with 24-hour butler service, so your only job is to relax.

One Thing to Know
Getting to Grande from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in the south takes about 90 minutes to two hours. The drive is beautiful but the roads are winding and hilly. Pack some Dramamine if you get carsick. Your airport transfer is included with your stay, which is a nice bonus.
Golf lovers will also appreciate free greens fees and transfers to the Cap Estate Country Club, just about 10 minutes away.
Bottom line: If budget is not the biggest concern and you want the most dramatic, memorable experience St. Lucia has to offer, Grande is your resort.
Best for: Couples who want luxury with a side of drama and wow-worthy views.
La Toc sits on a stunning 220-acre estate along a beautiful private beach, with clifftop views that are genuinely hard to describe. The resort feels grand and a little old-school glamorous, like a place where old Hollywood would have vacationed.
The rooms here tend to be larger than at the other two properties, and the resort has a more spread-out, estate-like feel. There is a championship golf course on property, and the swim-up suites are some of the best in the Sandals portfolio.
What Makes La Toc Stand Out
The setting. The clifftop suites at La Toc have some of the most dramatic views of any Sandals resort, period. Waking up to that view with a cup of coffee before the rest of the resort is even awake is a genuinely special experience.
Insider Tip: Those signature ocean swings you keep seeing on Instagram? La Toc has them. They are perched right at the water’s edge and are endlessly photogenic, but they get busy. Go early in the morning or just before sunset for the best light and the shortest wait.
La Toc is also a great choice for couples who enjoy golf. You have access to the course right on property, and greens fees are included. It is one of the better golf setups in the entire Sandals chain.
Bottom line: La Toc is ideal for couples who want elegance, spectacular scenery, and a resort that feels a little more secluded and private than Grande.
Best for: Couples who want to actually unpack, exhale, and forget the world exists.
If Grande is a party and La Toc is a gala, Halcyon Beach is a cozy dinner for two. This is the smallest and most intimate of the three resorts, and that is exactly its appeal.
The vibe here is lush, quiet, and deeply relaxing. The gardens are incredible. The beach is calm. The pace is slow. People who stay here tend to be the ones who want to read a book by the water without a DJ playing 30 feet away.
What Makes Halcyon Stand Out
This resort punches well above its size when it comes to water sports. Snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, scuba diving, it is all included and the reef here is genuinely beautiful. For certified divers or anyone who wants to get PADI certified on vacation, Halcyon is arguably the best pick of the three.
Insider Tip: Halcyon is also typically the most affordable of the three St. Lucia Sandals resorts, which makes it a smart option if you want to splurge on an upgrade elsewhere in your trip, like a cooking class, a catamaran day trip to the Pitons, or a couples’ massage at the spa.
Take a look at the bar lineup too because even at the smaller resort, Sandals does not cut corners on the drinks program.
Bottom line: Halcyon is the best choice for couples who genuinely want to decompress, especially on a first or second anniversary when the whole point is just being together somewhere beautiful.
