DINING

There are a total of three restaurants, including Azul restaurant, located on the edge of a cliff overlooking the bay, Bluefin, which focuses on poke-inspired cuisine, and lastly, Portofino an Italian restaurant. For an additional charge, guests may request a romantic, private dinner under the stars.

Guests can also dine at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Casino & Spa next-door. Restaurants include Ocean Terrace, an all-day buffet, The Palms Beach Grill, Restaurant + Bar, which offers Caribbean specialties, Lava Rock, where guests cook their own meat on hot slates, Pizzeria Napoli, La Fontana, an Italian restaurant, The Village Tavern with pub food, and Jing’s Kitchen serving Asian food. 

As for bars, there are four exclusive bars and lounges in addition to bars at the resort next door. Between the two resorts, there is no shortage of food and drink to indulge in. 

 

Activities

A great feature about this resort is guests have access to the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Casino & Spa, which is adjacent to Sonesta Ocean Point. Guests can visit any of the restaurants at either resort, as well as the spa, bars, and any other features and amenities. 

At Sonesta Beach Point, there are three pools, the Edge Pool on a cliffside, the Point Pool with private cabanas, and a pool for swim-out suite guests only. The Serenity Spa focuses on a peaceful experience that takes guests on a relaxing journey to reconnect with the mind, body, and soul for an overall focus on your well-being. In addition, there is a fitness center with instructors who host daily classes for all to enjoy. Classes range from yoga to water aerobics to one-on-one training. For those needing peace and serenity, the open-air well-being sanctuary is a great place to relax and take in the moment. 

The resort has a stunning outdoor venue to host weddings or other large events. Scooters are available to rent as a fun ride around the resort. In addition, guests can sign up for tours and excursions to snorkel, scuba dive, go on boat cruises, ATV rides, and so much more.
