DINING

The resort has nine restaurants that use only the freshest ingredients to serve Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Jamaican cuisine. In addition, there is a café for a quick bite and even a Sushi restaurant on the beach. Along with gourmet restaurants are bars at the pool, beach, and resort where you can grab a drink and relax.

ACTIVITIES

As for the activities to keep you busy, there are many. Go scuba diving with certified staff in one of the best dive sites in the world with extraordinary reefs. You can also try kayaking, water skiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, sailboating, tubing, paddle boarding, knee boarding, and wakeboarding. If none of those water sports are for you, take out a glass-bottom boat for a ride. Go floating in the pool or swimming in the ocean.

For land activities, there is table tennis, shuffleboard, chess, croquet, basketball, volleyball, tennis, board games, pool tables, squash, and bocce ball. There is also a top-notch spa facility offering many relaxing treatments and a fitness center to help you work off the all-inclusive food and drinks.

If partying is more your thing, there is a piano bar, amphitheater, carnival party, talent night, live bands and live shows. There are also consultants who will help you plan local adventure tours where you can go horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, go on a catamaran cruise, ride a dune buggy, and zip line throughout Jamaica. So whether you’re looking to relax or keep busy all week, you have more options than you could ever imagine.

WEDDINGS

One feature of Sandals South Coast that we absolutely love - the overwater chapel! If you’re planning a destination wedding, this unique chapel will wow guests and provide you with incredible pictures.

ANDREA’S TAKEAWAYS

Here are a few takeaways from my time at Sandals South Coast.

  • Overwater Bar: I loooove the overwater bar (Latitudes).  It's so pretty at night! So get ready early and go watch the sunset at Latitudes

  • Jerk Shack: The Jerk Shack here had some of my favorite food! I highly recommend it for lunch.

  • Excursions: Consider doing a catamaran tour from this resort. The dock is right on property so you never have to leave the resort!

  • Rondovals: If budget allows, I would absolutely stay in the Dutch Village Rondovals for a few nights; even if you have to switch room categories for part of your stay.

  • Getting There: Be prepared for a long drive.  It's 1 hour 45 minutes from the airport so I only recommend this resort if staying 5+ nights
