Honolulu, Hawaii

I recently returned from Classic Vacations Presidents Circle in Hawaii and was thrilled to be selected as one of 15 travel agency owners across the US to attend this elite event. A diverse group of agency owners were brought together to discuss how we do business, what challenges we face and how we can continue to grow our individual agencies. I was surrounded by some of the most talented people in the industry and returned reinvigorated and excited for what the future holds for Shoreline Destinations!

Thank you, Classic Vacations, for inviting me to this exclusive event!

I was also thrilled to visit Oahu again and visit a few new properties while I was there. No matter which destination I visit, I always try to get to as many properties as possible so I am able to speak to them first-hand. It's a main reason people trust the advice of an agent and I'm picky!!  So if I recommend a property, it's met my standards where I know people are going to come home happy.

My Favorite Resorts!

These are a few favorites from my most recent trip and they are all unique and offer something different!

The Kahala Hotel & Resort

This resort is the only beachfront resort in Kahala, Oahu’s most prestigious residential area, which is popular with celebrities and international royalty. When you’re at this luxury resort, you know you are somewhere special.  I love their "wall of fame" and spent time looking at all the celebrities and dignitaries that have visited this beautiful property.

Why I love Kahala Hotel & Resort:
- If you are looking to escape the crowds in Waikiki beach, this is it!  From the moment you enter the beautiful lobby, you feel a world away from the bustle of downtown Waikiki.
- Located on the end of Kahala Avenue and set on a pristine beach that isn't crowded with visitors
- Overlooks both Diamond Head and Koko Head craters
- Award-winning cuisine with 5 restaurants and 2 bars/lounges
- Guests can take part in their interactive swim with the dolphins experience.
- Free introductory surfing or stand-up paddle board lessons
- Keiki Club for kids ages 5 – 12 years old
- Only 20 minutes from the airport and shuttle to local shopping areas (just ten minutes from the world-class shopping and entertainment of Waikiki)

Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach

The newly transformed Alohilani Resort is a cosmopolitan jewel located on Waikiki Beach.

 Why I love Alohilani Resort:
- World-class dining by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto with 2 restaurants.  I visited Morimoto's and the food was fabulous!
- A see-and-be-seen saltwater infinity pool with a gorgeous view of Waikiki beach!
- Love the rooftop cabanas!
- The beautiful open-air lobby
- Their 280,000-gallon indoor Oceanarium.  You'll see it as soon as you enter the lobby!
- Monkeypod Kids Club for kids ages 5 – 12 years old

Hilton Hawaiian Village

Located on the widest stretch of beach in Waikiki, this property will provide relaxation and new experiences.

Why I love Hilton Hawaiian Village:
- Great for families looking for plenty of activities
- HUGE property so join Hilton Honors to skip the regular check in lines
- From Luau's to 20+ restaurants/bars, there is not a shortage of snacks, drinks and food!
- Blue Water Shrimp & Seafood’s pineapple smoothie right out of a pineapple
- 5 sparkling pools, featuring dramatic waterfalls and the longest water slide in Waikiki
- Fireworks on Fridays right there at the resort!
- Close to all the great shopping and dining on Waikiki Beach

And don’t forget – if you’re in Honolulu, make sure you stop at Leonard’s Bakery. If you haven’t had malasadas, you need to try them! Way better than donuts!!

Cheers to all things travel!
