Garza Blanca Resort & Spa

There is something innately special about Los Cabos, Mexico. It is hard not to love a place like Cabo, with 350 days of sunshine every year!! You’ll immediately feel at home as you relax at Garza Blanca. Once known as a party city, Cabo has graduated into high-end and luxury resorts that are perfect for families and couples, and of course group trips!

Garza Blanca Resort, an optional all-inclusive five-star oceanfront resort, was even better than I expected. Out of the 16 properties I visited, I can say that Garza was the biggest “surprise” for me. I was REALLY impressed!  Garza Blanca has numerous pools, restaurants and bars, and a list of activities that will keep you busy during your stay. Whether you go for a weekend or a week, staying at the Garza Blanca Resort is a must for a carefree and fun vacation in Mexico!

Garza Blanca is paradise.

GARZA BLANCA OVERVIEW

Garza Blanca Resort is within a manageable distance from the two major airports you can fly in and out of in Cabo—it is about 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, and about an hour from Cabo San Lucas International Airport. Once you get to Garza Blanca, you will be in awe of the oceanfront property’s views over the Pacific Ocean. The resort faces the southeast, which means early risers will get to experience the stunning sunrises Cabo has to offer.

It is a large resort, but you won’t feel like you’re in a crowd and it isn’t overly hard to get the dinner time slot you want at the more popular restaurants. It is also all-inclusive optional. For those that want to have no worries about food or drink, you can easily choose to be all-inclusive during your stay. But if you’d rather save some money and pay for each meal (or use your room’s kitchenette), you can do that as well.

GARZA BLANCA DINING

There are six fabulous restaurants that are open daily for you to choose from, ranging from Asian fusion to elegant steakhouses. At breakfast, you can enjoy going around a buffet with different stations. The restaurants all have vegetarian and vegan options as well. Even the poolside food is delicious! There is an option for couples to have a private dining experience on the beach in the sand. If you are visiting Garza Blanca for a special occasion, this is an absolute must-do!

GARZA BLANCA ROOMS

There are plenty of options for suites to stay in at the Garza Blanca that you will have no trouble finding a good fit for you and your crew. You can choose from a junior, 1-, or 2-bedroom suite. The suites have a living with a pull-out couch and multiple bathrooms. Or, choose to stay in a 3 or 4 bedroom loft or penthouse. They all come with a full-sized fridge and stovetop, all the appliances and cookware you would need, and a washer and dryer.

The rooms do have a kitchenette, so instead of picking the all-inclusive option, you can do a room-only plan. All-inclusive does have the option of the resort stocking your fridge or delivering room service if you want a slower night in. After you settle into your suite, you can go onto your private balcony and take a nap on the hammock provided.

ANDREA’S TAKEAWAYS

  • The Pools! While you can go lounge on the beach, there are eight total pools at Garza Blanca that you can rotate through as you like, including a kids-geared pool and a rooftop infinity pool that is for adults only. The rooftop pool gives you an amazing view of the ocean in front of you and is perfect spot to be as the day comes to an end. I’d send adults here no problem!!! The rooftop pool is key!

  • The Spa! Spending time in at Spa Imagine is a must. You can get facials, massages, and take part in a hydrotherapy circuit. This includes elements like a sauna, steam room, a cold plunge pool, high-pressure show, water-jet massage stations, and a jacuzzi. You can really let yourself refresh while spending some time in the spa.

  • Activities! You will find many options to connect with your family or partner, or others staying at the resort, thanks to the organized activities the resort puts on. You can go on an electric beach bike tour, attend yoga on the beach classes, or dance lessons! There are also tons of kids-only activities, like kids cooking classes or arts and crafts.

  • Tours! And if you want to get out of the resort for a moment, it’s relatively easy to go exploring in Los Cabos. Garza Blanca organizes tours that let you go exploring the city and the Sea of Cortez in a variety of ways. You can take a camel ride in the dunes, charter a yacht for an afternoon, and even go snorkeling or whale watching! Of course, you have to go out onto the Sea and see the Arch of Cab San Lucas yourself!
