Every year from the beginning of November to right before Christmas, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed event for guests to celebrate the holiday season! Here is your 2023 guide to the party!

The party runs from 7:00 pm to 12:00am with some experiences starting earlier. You can get into Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00pm with a party ticket. At the time of writing this, a third virtual queue for Tron Lightcycle Run opens for party guests at 6:00pm so you have an additional chance to ride it if you are interested.

My Pro Tips

Get to the Park at 4PM
You can get into the park as early as 4 pm with a party ticket so you might as well make the most of it! I wanted to meet Jack and Sally so I made sure I was at Magic Kingdom with plenty of time to check in right at 4pm to meet them (their line was 120 minutes at one point in the night!).

Make a List
Five hours seems like a lot, but it can go by super quick so make sure you prioritize what you want to do. My priority list for the night was meeting Jack and Sally, trying the Holiday Pot Roast sandwich, and riding the overlay of Space Mountain and I am happy to say I was able to get all that done and then some!

See the Later Stage Shows
The stage show happens four times a night. If you are able, try to see the later shows. Families with young children tend to watch the first show, making it more crowded. If you can wait until the 10:30 or 11:55 pm shows, you will have a better spot to view them!

Catch the Second Parade
If you are able, see the second parade. Most families with little ones see the first parade so it is more crowded. The second parade as it will be much less crowded. Also, try to watch the parade from Frontierland. This is where the parade starts so you will see it from the beginning instead of waiting while it goes the entire parade route to make it to Main Street.

Mobile Order Your Food
Cosmic Ray’s allows you to mobile order food ahead of time. I mobile ordered my food at my house before I left for 7:30 pm and waited 5 minutes to pick it up versus the regular ordering line, which would have taken 20 minutes. Mobile order your food in order to save valuable party time!

Be Flexible
In true Florida fashion, it was raining the first hour of the party so the Frozen stage show was canceled. Also, Space Mountain was down for the first hour of the party. Being flexible allows you to still make the most of the party if things do not go 100% as planned!

As a Florida local, I usually prioritize the Halloween party over Christmas as Halloween is my favorite holiday, but it was wonderful seeing everything the Christmas party has to offer! It is a great way to celebrate the holidays at Disney, especially if you have little ones!
