Baha Mar, Nassau

Wedding welcome reception with all sorts of guests!

Everyone has heard of the Atlantis in the Bahamas, but if you were to ask me where to go, I’d say Baha Mar all day long. This was my third visit and once again, it didn’t disappoint! I recently had a chance to coordinate a destination wedding at Baha Mar (so fun!!!!) and the whole place was bustling with people. They just completed a beach club with an infinity pool open to all guests at Baha Mar and they are building a water park! So when the water park is complete, this will absolutely rival the Atlantis.

This new luxury resort destination is set on Nassau’s pristine Cable Beach and had its grand opening in 2017. When you get to Baha Mar, everything is at your fingertips. Stay at one of their three resorts, enjoy over 40 dining options, take in PLENTY of entertainment options, and so much more. Whether you’re on your honeymoon or a family looking for some fun, this is the place to be.

Getting there..

Getting to Baha Mar is so easy! There are many nonstop flights available from major airports on the East Coast and you could be in Nassau in 2-3 hours. Once you arrive, Baha Mar is just a quick 10 minute drive from Lynden Pindling International Airport. So you could easily leave your house in the morning and have a late lunch in Baha Mar. It doesn’t get much easier!

Why I love Baha Mar…

There are sooo many reasons why I love this destination, but here are just a few reasons why I’ll be recommending Baha Mar!

The Resorts

From a quiet retreat at the Rosewood, to an all night party at SLS Baha Mar or something in between at Grand Hyatt, you have different price points and atmospheres to choose from.

Enjoy your stay at Rosewood, Grand Hyatt, or SLS Baha Mar. There is a resort for everyone at Baha Mar!

The Pools

There are plenty of options for where you want to hang out for the day at Baha Mar! Guests of SLS and Hyatt can use each other’s pools so switch it up each day to keep the experience fresh and exciting! Guests at Rosewood have access to all pools at SLS/Hyatt, but guests at the other two properties do not have access to Rosewood’s pool. So if you are looking for an upscale, quiet retreat, I recommend Rosewood…. and if you’re staying at Rosewood and want more of a party scene for the day, feel free to head on over to SLS. There is also Baha Bay beach club with the most stunning infinity edge pool looking out to the beautiful turquoise ocean! Head there for the day and rent one of their cabanas!!

The Beach

There is a fantastic beach at Baha Mar (walk until your heart is content) complete with a pier and the most beautiful turquoise water.

Food Trucks!!

Don't want a full meal or want to grab lunch while down at the beach?  I love the different options available; fun and quick!

The Skybar at SLS Baha Mar

For amazing views at sunset and into the night, I love the Skybar.  It's a mix of indoors and outdoors and the perfect spot to lounge and relax with friends.

The Casino!

Many times I get asked where a great Casino is in the Caribbean. For those that like to gamble, Baha Mar has a fantastic one; and the water entrance at the Grand Hyatt makes you feel like you are rolling up to a Vegas hotel. It’s the largest casino in the Caribbean so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot at a slot machine or table!!  High end shops are of course steps from the casino so you can spend your winnings easily!

So if you’re looking to plan your next getaway, put this on your list! I’m here to answer all of your questions.

Cheers to all things travel!
